Grading

Oi. Grading is brutal. Even though I'm paid a fair wage for TA'ing when it comes time to grade papers I always feel like I'm not paid enough. I think there should be a system established so that for every paper I grade I can submit it and get cash in hand.

Snowboarding Season

is fast approaching! All I can think about is jibbing and jumping right now. Whistler already has some snow on it and Cypress keeps getting a little here and there.

The direction of blogs

Someone told me that blogs tend to become outlets of humor or ranting. When I first though about making this post, I felt like ranting. Then I decided, rather than ranting, why don't I comment on ranting? Is that the same? Is this now a humorous entry? Hmmm. Damn categories.

It is interesting that part of person's personality is their outlook on life. This means that if you choose to be a happy, funny person or a concerned, ranting person people will identify you by that trait. Comedians are unique in that they make humor abour ranting.

Thanksgiving

Well, it's that time of year again! Time to harvest the wheat, eat pumpkin pie and have a little wine. So off to Whidbey Island! Dori and I are going to visit our friend Briony on Whidbey Island, which is 60 miles southwest of my mom in Anacortes. So a happy thanksgiving to everyone and wish for clear weather on Monday so Dori and I can go climbing again...

Burgers & Fries

It is what we had for dinner last night, but it's also the name of the wall and the route we climbed yesterday. Dori andI went up to Squamish (a town north of Van about 50km) to try out our new climbing gear. Dori got a harness and I am the proud owner of rock shoes.

What a fanatastic time! Dori challenged herself by climbing a route 4 times, and then attempting the hardest climb she's done! She did the route called "Burgers and Fries" which is a 5.7 crack route. If we have more nice weather you can count on us going back!

In other news Mt. St. Helens is on the verge of erupting. This has the potential for making blue moons! The idea is that volcanic ash can filter the sunlight of moon and turn it a blue color. This would in one sense, a TRUE BLUE moon. So anyways, keep watching.
