Spyware
So a large portion of the internet users have some idea of what spyware is. Programs that are installed without (sometimes with) your permission that record information about that you may or may not care about. In particular the most common is tracking cookies. These are things that attach to your internet browser and try their best to figure out how you surf the net.
For a minute I'm going to give you the chance to see me surf the net. After all, I should be working on my thesis, but somethings are just more important.
1. Begin working on thesis by putting on music: Cake's new album, first song, "Wheels"
2. Hear the line "While the overweight Americans wear their patriotic jumpsuits"
3. Search google for patriotic jumpsuits.
4. See an interesting looking blog as the first hit.
5. Notice the interesting hook about Austria.
6. Laugh and cry about the above post and get intrigued by Election Hangover post in sidebar.
7. Laugh and cry about the above post and maybe feel a bit angry and then begin to wonder what "808" means, as in the title of the above blog "Bangin' like an 808."
8. Remeber that there is an Urban Dictionary that defines slang and discover that "808" is a Roland drum machine used in 80's music.
9. Remember that I was actually looking for the rest of the lyrics to Cake's song so I could pass it on to Brad, but now figure a blog post is just as good.
10. Decide I should finish this post and get back to my thesis.
This meant to be an interactive post. To fully enjoy spying on my surfing habits, I recommend clicking each link in order before moving on. Then get back to work!
Dang it! The album is done playing, now I have to pick more music before I continue with my thesis...

And I, the Austria post writer, am procrastinating as well. Why don't we just blame it on Bush and call it a day? Oh, by the way, 'Bangin' like an 808' is indeed a drum machine, and also a lyric in a Beck song. I feel fabulous that you linked me. It's like being in high school. Ok, really, I have stuff to do now.... I like your blog as well. Now I'm babbling. Back to work...
