Vancouver

So Dori and I rented some snowshoes with the intention of making it to Elsay Lake, but for whatever reason the trail was "blocked". We assumed there might have been significant avalanche danger and decided not continue. Rather, we headed back and took a detour up to Dog Mountain. While there might be other reasons for the name, to me, clearly, it was the amount of dog's that walked the trail. At the top we looked over an overcast Vancouver, but beautiful clear skies above us. It's nice to get out of Vancouver and remind yourself that the sun shines above the clouds.

Update: It turns out that the Elsay Lake trail is closed in the winter due to Extreme Avalanche danger.
