Issue, problem, solution
Had a cool day yesterday. Just one of those days that I felt really good. While talking to one of my co-workers I had some ideas about these words:
"An issue is nebulous. It's a red flag. There could be a problem, but not necessarily."
"A problem is half the solution. If you have an accurate problem statement, the solution becomes nearly obvious."
"A solution is specific to a problem and the unspoken constraints. A designer of a solution naturally gravitates toward the solution that is 'comfortable'."
Also I hit the 240km mark today! I've ridden my bike 20 times to work this month!
